First steps in writing:

Tutor Mom's Student Writing Workshops can be organized for your ISP or homeschool group. Class sizes are small (6-15 students), student/teacher interaction is fast-paced, and rewards are immediate. A commonly overheard remark after one of these workshops is "that was fun." Moms often report that their sons or daughters are reluctant writers before attending one of Tutor Mom's Sentence Workshops. These same mothers relate how their children are more confident and enthusiastic about writing after attending one of these classes.

Learn:

  1. Workshop I:  Basic sentence elements + adjectives                            (one 1½ hour session)
  2. Workshop II:  Sentence variations using adverbs, prepositions, and phrases — Prerequisite:  Workshop I                                             (one 1½ hour session)

Workshops I & II are usually taught as a unit, 1 week

           apart.

Who?  Students, grades 2-7.  Prerequisite:  ability to read and print.

Where and when?  Contact me by phone or email to discuss scheduling a workshop in your area.  The minimum number of students increases for workshops outside of the North San Diego or South Riverside County areas.
